Back on the road

Back on the road with a Kawasaki Vulcan S Cafe. The cruiser style is perfect for the not so perfect knee. The forward controls are a bit different, but OK just a bit of adjustment required. Happy days.

The New Bike has Arrived

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 – Downtown Drag, that’s black and grey to most of us.

So far so good, a modern bike with a classic look and feel. I am still running it in, 4000rpm for the first 300 miles then 6000rpm up to 1200 miles. 4000rpm in 6th is about 60mph so its not too bad.

It’s a great bike to ride, the seat leaves a bit to be desired, if it doesn’t soften up I will change it. The brakes feel better than the Himalayan.

New bike arriving soon

Another new toy. I did not expect to be getting this bike as quickly as I did, ordered on Tuesday May 18, phone call to say it had arrived Tuesday May 26, and will be ready for collection Saturday May 29. I did not expect it until sometime in July at the earliest.

Hats off to Smalley Cross Ltd, so far a much better to deal with than those other jokers in Derby.

It does mean the Pan European will have to go. I have not been using it much as its a bit heavy for my knees when moving around the drive.
